I would support EAC if the EAC was going to be like ASEAN in Southeast Asia. EAC however wants to go and be even more unified politically than even the European Union since the ultimate goal of EAC is to be a single federal country called 'East African Federation'. Somalia no longer being a sovereign country is unacceptable

Saxiib EAC will never be like EU it will be like ECOWAS or the other in Southern Africa cooperation.

Somalia has alot of barriers to trade and this has to be reduced to minimal and joining the union is a great choice.

You are over tginking about alot of scenarios.

You want to turn somalia into Japan of the medeival which locked itself from international trade for centuries.

All EAC countries are growing at a rate of 6% annually Somalia on the other hand grows maximum half that rate in this year. From 2015 to 2017 the growth rate was over 5% in Somalia. It's possible Kenya is going to become one of sub saharan Africa's 3 power houses together with South Africa and Nigeria

So Egypt, Algeria or even Morocco can't compete with Kenya?
