The whole of Mudug is cursed, I lost a cousin who was visiting Xarfo for the first time back in 2019
The scariest thing is, each clan is harboring sociopath killers, protecting them and grooming them to 'protect' the clan. Not realising that this killer, is going to have children and pass on his issues onto them. We are breeding and protecting generations of killers.
I don't care if a person is MJ if they support communism/kacaanism for example. To me they are like Republicans and I'm a Democrat. Maxaa iga galay dadkaan and why would I vote for or protect them. We all need to realise that the real issues in Somalia are political and we need to vote along those lines, instead of carrying around people we find reprehensible.
Puntland needs a political ideology revolution, we need to evolve and soon, hadiikale dad nooma hariyaan.

Well we are diasporas we have a totally different mentality compared to those born and raised back home we understand more things and know the value of SomaliNimo since we are surrounded by others in the west
I am also convinced they don't take it seriously back home either, you'll constantly see people marrying from different clans even in distant regions. Especially now with social media, you always say ' reer hebel baa raba' and a girl or man responding with 'waa ii kan'. I've never seen an ethnic group that 'hates' each other and intermarries so much.
It's all bullshit and these gaajo politicians and even some of these 'elders' are incentivised to keep it going for their own financial and political gain.
Another thing, if Somalis weren't so heinously misogynist, we'd have less qabiil hatred. Because I dare you to find me a person whose entire bloodline is one qabiil. It doesn't make sense. Also, those of you with different reer hooyo and aabbo, if people respected your hooyos family and background as much as you did your aabbo, there would be less clan warfare. Especially considering the rate of intermarriage in Mudug especially. Nobody marries each other more than LK, MJ, Carab Saalax and yet, here we are.

Aano qabil doesnβt stop because the islaans/nabadoons can go claim mag/diya payment from transgressing clan and most of the money doesnβt even go to victims families, I think mudug should adopt Reer Adan method of dealing with aano qabil, where they hunt the killer instead of killing an innocent kinsman of theirs. And where their own might kill another person from a different clan, instead of paying diya they simply capture him and hand him over to be executed.

I was on the phone with a cousin of mine in Galkayo when this crime transpired, he abruptly told me that he will call me back and then 30 minutes later called me with the devastating news. The father of the lady who was killed is a famous journalist in PL, he used to be the director general of the information ministry and the head of PL TV as well.
But the killers were amateurs considering how they killed the lady who was supposedly be on their side in the crossfire, the LK guy was armed as well with a pistol and it forced the Carab salax boys to panic and fire at will in the direction of the LK guy.
Mudug needs a wide ranging reforms on murder. Puntland should take a more comprehensive responsibility in tackling those crimes, the capital punishment of killing every murderer regardless of his tribal affiliations will eventually cause such cowardly acts to end.

Clans need to come together and disarm. You can have tooreys to protect yourself but nobody should be allowed to have guns.
