I was in Djibouti last year for 3 months, talking with the youth and adult made the khat night always sad (but still had some fun). The wealth gap is unreal, the price of goods are very high, a lot of anti competition law, tribalism , the price of electricity is high. Wallahi miskeen country.
Most African countries have this problem unfortunately. The wealth gap is huge. If you’re wealthy or diaspora coming back you live in big nice houses, living the good life while majority of the locals struggle just to have somewhere to sleep or to put food on the table. Walahi it’s sad
