Here’s the thing this deal Ethiopia is waffling about will give the Somali region precedent to invoke article 39 and secede from Ethiopia if they indeed go down this path. There is nobody that colonial borders hinder more than Somalis. Ethiopia is playing with fire but they are desperate and their is no financial bail out coming as has occurred historically.

They will also have ample proof to support their claim. Somali journalists have to be on the ground reporting the genocidal tendencies of the Ethiopian government, and ready to spread the news of what they are doing to the Somali people. The ongoing conflict in Tigray killing half a million people is about to spill over to the Somali people within Ethiopia and Somalia.

Ethiopia is a clear aggressor in the entire region, threatening peace with neighbouring Sudan as well as Egypt. Not only are they a threat to regional stability, but they are also bankrupt and have dubious allegiances that no one can decipher. Everyone should be weary of Ethiopia at this point!
