This case is not isolated tho. Anti-Somali sentiment has been steadily increasing in Turkey. This in of it itself isn't unique for example in South Africa xenophobia against Somalis is much more intense and violent.

Absolutely UAE is a strong trade partner. They actually buy goods off us which is literally the most important thing in bilateral relationships.
UAE has a very good business environment for Somalis too. Much of the diaspora money pouring back into Somalia is from UAE.
How anyone compares this to what Turkey does (using Somalia as a resource dump and running Mogadishu port) is beyond me.
One thing I give credit to Turkey for is the security aspect. They have trained thousands of Somali troops to a high quality level. Americas Danab is still only 1,000 strong despite the heavy presence the Americans have through AMISOM
