No shit. If we want to drill ourselves, we would have to pay for this ship too lolCorrection. Somalia will be charged £250 million for driller.
We are paying for it.
If the Turks are willing to drop half a billion on these ships, it’s definitely a good sign that the surveys picked up a sizeable amount.
Maskaxda ba ka dhaloosheyUsual suspects talking shit in the thread lol
both are gonna be deployed to Somalia, the only other contract they have is with pakistan and its not at drilling phase, also damn the progress is going fast and i was expecting 1B for the drilling operations, if the cost doesnt exceed 500M we might see recovery cost cleared faster than exepectedIf the Turks are willing to drop half a billion on these ships, it’s definitely a good sign that the surveys picked up a sizeable amount.

Turkey Finds Enormous Gas Field In The Black Sea — But Tricky Process Ahead
Turkey has found significant gas resources in the Black Sea. If extracted economically, the reserves will have major implications for the country's natural gas import bill and energy security posture overall.www.forbes.com
It seems turkey is expanding it's capacity to conduct drilling missions at multiple locations simultaneously. If the Turks are willing to drop half a billion on these ships, it’s definitely a good sign that the surveys picked up a sizeable amount.
Why would the fgs be charged for assets that were procured by and for the turkish government?Correction. Somalia will be charged £250 million for driller.

Considering the date of the article, there is nothing sure yet to make the assumption that it’s for the Black Sea, or for SomaliaI sent check above
Trust me on this I worked, in offshore drilling. There's a lot of infastructure needed to reach decent production levels. You drill several wells, then build a platform then hire/buy an oil tanker to extract the oil from the platform. You can't immediately consume the whole profit you get some if not most has to be reinvested on more infastructure projects relating to oil and gas. The good news is anyone with the decent basic level education and can speak decent English can become rich really quick. This is what happened in all resource rich frontiers that were able to employ their profits to develop their regions. most of the wealthiest families in the gulf got rich between the 40s and 60s not during the oil boom of the 70s and that's because while everyone was abandoning their nomadic/agricultural/fishing lifestyle and rushing for a stable secure jobs these families decided to provide good and services to the public, the government, and the oil companies and their subsidiaries (e.g. construction companies, medical companies, transport companies etc). The same concept also took place in california during the goldrush the first millionaire in california Samuel Brannan didn't get rich because he stumbled on huge gold reserves, he became a millionaire because he provided services to those who were making good money from the gold in an area that lacked almost everything.both are gonna be deployed to Somalia, the only other contract they have is with pakistan and its not at drilling phase, also damn the progress is going fast and i was expecting 1B for the drilling operations, if the cost doesnt exceed 500M we might see recovery cost cleared faster than exepected
