I've been told that i can be too blunt to the degree of being offensive but that's how i'm. With all due respect the name azania is 2000 year old and ajan which is properly the somali way of saying ajam and some other europeans noticed it is at max 300-500 years old. Second of all no arabic speaker would translate ajam to barbarian. Ajma is a person who don't speak arabic. Persians were ajam romans were ajam anyone who doesn't speak arabic were ajam. Barberian in arabic is hamaji or barbari.

The arabic translation of pliny geography called natural history translate azania to al-zinj. Zinj is not an arabic word and some think that it's of persian origin but we cant say for sure, no one knows.

Cosmas Indicopleustes a sixth century greek christian and likely a contemporary of the rasul ﷺ wrote the name zingion instead of azania, with no suffix it would be zing arabic version zinj. Al-masudi in the tenth century called the azanian sea described by pliny as the sea of zinj or gulf of zinj. If you take the suffix from azania you would have azan contrast that to a-zinj of the arabs only differs by the letter j. That being said it's still an unproven theory.

I wasn't comparing the degree of racism between different people but i only wanted to acknowledge that what seems to be a racist attitude exit to a certain degree between arabs themselves.

As i said there is much to discuss about this topic that goes back centuries but i thought it would be better to address other issue and concentrate on them. I tend to condemn the guilty party and not generalize. These who mistreat africans on the basis of their colour of their skin are racist but you can't call everyone of the same ethnicity as racist too.

Keep in mind that we're also muslims and as such they're our muslim family. We must call for what is good and forbid what is evil that what ummat Muhammed ﷺ meant to do. I'm not here to excuse criminal action but i simply call for to not generalizing a whole group of people. We don't see the same rage on america despite the fact that the country institutionalized racism into their constitution.

I'm tired of us Somalis submitting to this 'lets be good BS" when our enemies hate us. I'm Muslim too but why should I consider others as my family when they despise my people ? This ummah stuff is good in theory but non existent in practice, it's a one way solidarity.
Of course not all Arabs are racist BUT this issue is prevalent in their countries. It's way worse than how somalis treat Bantus or Oromos.

Brother America is super racist and yet less racist than Morocco, Egypt, Tunisia or Libya. I believe this sincerely. Even the worst western European or north American society is less racist than Morocco, Egypt, Tunisia or Libya.

I'm a landheer somali who speaks his native language while they are arabized Berbers who lost their culture and were conquered by Arabs. They still don't know who they are. I'm not offended, those among them who hate us have obvious identify issues, they still don't know if they are Arabs or amazigh. My heart only griefs for the somalis who are trapped in their lands and have to deal with the savage slave traders in Libya. We as a people have moral values that's why despite our condition we help Yemenis and Syirians even though we know how much Arabs hate us. In our culture hospitality is sacred so I'm not calling for any bad action against miskeen Arabs. I do call for ending any relationship with Arab governments, withdrawing from the Arab league and boycotting all Arab countries economically and politically. Wallahi the Habashi and the Bantu governments are closer to us than the hateful khalej monarchies and northafrican governments

I might disagree with you on some point but i really like your pro somali stands which is quite admirable. A lot of people here tend to blame the somalis and side with the opposite party in case of an arguments. They tend to insult somalia and somalis while glorifying whomever somalis are beefing with. One thing somalis in the west needs is to be proud of their somali identity.
