I agree some parts of their culture is going too far, but their roots are still Hamitic, just like us. Old Somali nomadic culture looked very much like Tuareg society. Eventually, as our people settled on the coast, the women swapped ruling the entire nomadic tribes to ruling the household. Maybe that’s why Somali women are so over-bearing; they might still be bitter at losing much of their power.

The Tuaregs are fighting to create their own country, Azawad. I wholeheartedly support their just cause, as the pure Tuaregs are unmixed with Arabs and remain one of the few remaining Hamites of North Africa. They would be a great ally of Somalia. I’ve always dreamed of Hamitic Unity in Northeast Africa.

Their culture is beautiful and I love how they still keep to their ancient nomadic customs; it’s part of Somali culture too but sadly, it isn’t as widely done as before.
