"Dhaqan celis" is only useful to learn the language or memorize the Quran, things you can learn while in the West. It doesn't make your kids better behaved. Somali parents only send their kids back so they can be less rowdy but it has been a total failure. I think Somali parents are finally starting to get that which is why you see less and less of "dhaqan celis" cases these days.

Dhaqan celis was very big in the mid to late 2000s and how did they turn up? Everyone I know that came back is either in jail, or is doing something that will end them up in jail or are still misbehaved adults. One is even a gay who hangs with Jamaicans and the dhaqan celis did not take the gay away (which is a good thing)
