Hamas ‘s response is divided into two parts. First, items that the resistance movement can negotiate about because it has a mandate to do so. They are namely: release of captives in exchange of ending the war, Israeli withdrawal of Gaza, delivery of aid, reconstruction and fair exchange of prisoners. As for the part related to the future of Gaza and the Palestinian cause, the response says that Hamas has no mandate to decide on these issues. It’s a matter for the Palestinian people and institutions to decide. Trump has welcomed Hamas’s response. This means Hamas has no obligations towards any part of Trump’s plan outside the issues Hamas can negotiate as mentioned above. A brilliant and responsible response.

Israel will not accept this, and will make some BS reason to object.

Their current strat is to try and kill as much of Gaza and as much of Hamas as possible until negotiation is impossible. For crying out loud they tried to assassinate their negotiating team in Qatar.

Give Trump the nobel prize! Say what you want about his personality but he seems quite the peace maker in lots of conflicts recently. Trump should pressure the nobel committee for his due credit.

Hamas smart to take the deal regardless how bad it is because it will checkmate Netanyahu evil plans and expose his true colors. Sometimes you schock the other side by taking a quite terrible deal that your opponent was expecting you to reject. This gets him out his equation and will have to go back to the board and draw again from scratch basically reevaluating everything including his own sanity.
