They obviously cannot form a state in Lascaanood. It's going to end in an ugly way if the FGS keeps pushing it.
The opposition however are not against it. The opportunity to use this to their end goal of centralism means they can't abandon it. Also when Somaliland is recognized the cheap slogans die, they cannot afford that.

The situation here is that the FGS is weak and has signalled its intent to end federalism. It's kind of like FGS's fault. They should have let the states remain as they are and gotten stronger itself. Because that didn't happen it tries to break down the federal states in cheap counter productive ways and that leaves a window for them to leave Somalia. It's just incompetence and state failure you can't blame Puntlanders for wanting to leave.

FGS failed because it's base (Mogadishu) want centralism but are fucking useless at state building. Waa dameer dhulkiisa jooga.
