Low IQ . Let me spell it out for you, try to read slowly.
1. Ilhan comes from a black african muslim background that already has a terrible reputation - she ticks every box for them to hate her before she even opens her mouth, not her fault. She is a minority within a minority (non black muslims vastly outnumber black muslims). Rashida on the other hand, doesn't wear hijab and isn't black, she doesn't get nearly as much hate because she blends in better.
Since this group she comes from is also small in number, not very wealthy and largely unarmed, she is in no position to be triggering people who vastly outnumber us, have MUCH more money and support behind them, and are the most armed group in the country. She knows damn well she will get a much different response to what she says than if she were your typical cadaan democrat. The hate will not only go to her, but will be blamed on all Somali American citizens. It's not fair - but it's the downside of being a minority.
2. Charlie Kirk was a huge voice, a top dog in the Republican movement , insulting him while his murder is still fresh in their ENRAGED minds was very stupid - Again, if you think about the fact she did this with all her other scandals they're still mad about true or untrue , on top of coming from a background they hate the most , this was a very bad idea. Obviously they would ask her opinion on this, as all politicians, but what prevented her from keeping it simple and vague , like the example I suggested? Why give them the material to twist her words? the insults to him were not necessary at all. She could have read the room and kept that criticism part to herself. If she did, they would have nothing to edit, nothing to work with. Instead, she gave them the footage for them to edit and clip, to push their lies. Talking about him in that way before he was even buried , and his base was out for blood, was very, very foolish.
3. Nobody is against her career, we just want her to move more sly and be more tactful with her words so innocent Somalis don't pay the price - If you know me, I'm a huge champion for Somali excellence, particularly women. I want her to keep making history, keep making us proud. But we need to remember that there's a myth that we have huge numbers in the state, and we're solely responsible for voting her in. Therefore, everytime she pisses them off, they remember that it was because of average Somalis that she was voted in (untrue, our numbers are way too small to make an impact). So if shit hits the fan and a weirdo 4channer with nothing to lose gets riled up enough, who is he more likely to go after? We narrowly escaped a tragedy the other day, as ya'll saw in the other thread about the armed cadaan trying to enter our mall.
