Colonial legacy can create challenges but the persistent instability and lack of progress in Somalia also reflect a failure to build a united, accountable, and functional society that even other colonized people have done. To only blame outside forces would be to deny their own agency and ability to shape their destiny. Somalis had that chance and turned it into a failed state and or a rump state as it's currently in. I believe that Trump isn't bothered by Ilhan per se. What ticks him off is the hijab. Or more accurately, what the hijab represents. It stands for moral integrity, modesty, and bravery. A person who wears the hijab is openly declaring what they believe in and shows that they aren’t afraid or intimidated by peers or society at large. These are qualities Trump should have, but doesn't.
Keep in mind that Trump, like many Westerners of his generation and social class, likely had a Christian upbringing or devout Christian parents and grew up reading authors like Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, and Ursula K. Le Guin. Authors that often explored themes like humility, leadership, the dangers of power, and the battle between good and evil.
What really bothers Trump, I think, is that there's someone in the room who is better than him, someone who has stayed true to the values that separate real winners from losers. And we know how his whole personality revolves around being a winner.

Northern Somalia became stable by the late 90s with the establishment of Somaliland and Puntland. The reason the same didn't happen in southern Somalia was due to numerous foreign meddling in the form of invasions (1993 American intervention, 1996 and 1999 Ethiopian incursions) and foreign backing of warlords (CIA, Ethiopia). This cause a delay in the south's stability efforts.
Syria isn't out of the woods yet, multiple factions still split up the country and they had to overthrow their government.

Literally all of these rooted in foreign interference. FGS receives most of its revenue from foreign doners. Even 4.5. originated outside of Somalia. How can you blame Somalis for the government's corruption when FGS can't even tax the populace? How can you blame Somalis when FGS presidents aren't actually chosen by the public? There is no real democracy and you know it.
Somaliland and Puntland serve as good examples. Those governments have accountability, far less corruption, greater national unity and more. Why? Because their existence isn't kept afloat by foreign funding nor do they have madhouses like xalane. In order for (southern) Somalia to rid itself of corruption all foreign influences such as foreign aid and xalane must be shut down and a bottom up effort of government reform needs to take place. Only then can Somalia change.

You cant be serious. You must be young. Let me give you a recap. There was an terrorist attack on 9/11 with wars in Afghanistan and Iraq that was started before Obama. Before even that there was American back war between Iran and Iraq and a man named Saddam. In 2004 they took out Saddam in Iraq. Since them Iran has gained power and proxies with Hezbollah, Hamas etc.
What happened under Obama was the Arab spring but he never started a full fledge war only assisted in Libya etc. Most people think Obama was too soft in the M.E and didn't do enough damage and Trump is even more anti-war. Some think he is appeasing and is a fool others think he is giving a chance to M.E with the Abraham Accords. So that is where we are now. But he is inching closer to war with Iran because they apparently have nukes and Saddam didnt. So I hope that covers it all. Its a mess and too much loopholes.
Oh and rumors are that Obama is Muslim and was planted to mess Mericua up.
And the children comment is odd. These airstrikes kill everyone and yes some kids. But there is no proof kids more than anyone else. Its more likely they target adult men and women. With kids last.

Important to note, I don't care for Ilhan nor any politician. I care for results and actions. The ideology you're referring to, I assume is rooted in critical race theory. It's beyond me how something so bigoted managed to flourish in academia.This isn’t simply outdated in my view. It was always defunct, and always will be.
