There has been a new debate raging about the trucking industry and how non Americans are taking over the business. To make matters worse, many of these drivers operating semi trucks reportedly cannot read or write. I believe that, eventually, laws may change in the trucking industry, possibly requiring a minimum of a bachelor’s degree from an American university just to drive a semi-truck. There are already too many non Americans creating trucking schools, which is negatively impacting society as a whole.

I think the problem is that cadaan american are starting to notice immigrant coming to american and with in less then 5 years they make good money due to being in the truck industry. Now have there been people killed by these immigrants Yes, and I don't condone that and those people should be put in jail for life. instead of a degree they want semi trucks now

I just hope Somali truckers are aware of what's going on currently. There's a lot of spotlight on foreign truck drivers. Especially somalis in this industry. The somalis that own trucking companies need to make sure they train their drivers well.

They need to worry about self-driving trucks, the trucking industry has 10-20 years max for human drivers.

I wish Somali truck drivers investing in Ai companies, so they can actually influence that market without having to protest outside of government building later on.

if it was upto me, i would create a holding company that paid dividends to truckers that invested, so they can still have income later on when they retire or their jobs get automated.

In the uk it was the same shi with taxi driving. Today you need gcse math and english to be a taxi driver i feel bad for the foreigners it isnt easy to pass

...... My guy most of our truck drivers are fobs. The only AI most of them will probably ever interact with is siri on their iPhones.

Most of the ones working as company drivers are probably making around 45 to 60k a year. The owner operators are probably taking home 90-110k after all their expenses.

...... My guy most of our truck drivers are fobs. The only AI most of them will probably ever interact with is siri on their iPhones.

Most of the ones working as company drivers are probably making around 45 to 60k a year. The owner operators are probably taking home 90-110k after all their expenses.

I know I just wanted to point out it would take a lot of money to take advantage of the AI hype within the trucking industry. Job wise I believe truck drivers are safe within the next 30 years.
