I work within the transport industry. I’m not a driver, but a journey planner for my company. And there is a truck driver war. The big companies like Tesco, McDonald’s etc etc are trying to price out smaller companies. There will be food shortages for shops this winter. Our drivers get 33k a year and has asked for 30% increase or they will leave. Looks like they will get atleast 25%. Companies are offering 2k bonuses just to take a job with them
