Give it two more generations, and Qabil will be gone and forgotten. Western Somalis won't pass down Qabil knowledge to their children. Somali women will be marrying outside the ethnic bubble. Once Ethiopia expands wide enough,you and I will be mere numbers, awaiting our executions.
The problem stems from the fact that Somalis are naturally not open minded to new ideas.
Somalia needs to go through a cultural transition.
Every thing about Somalia reeks of bad management.
But it all starts from a good funded education, having a good community mentor and a good discipline. This could produce a well structure for our community.
Another issue is how Somalis highly prioritise elders.
Looking up to elders is seen as a tradition in our community and other parts of Africa; and non western countries.
If Somalis stop prioritising elders and rather look up to the young generation maybe our community would progress well.
All we need is people protesting on the streets and demanding their kids to get funded for a good education and get access to other innovative ideas.
