There are plenty of tree species that can thrive in the dry conditions of the north and puntland. I suggest that somalis the planting. The sooner we plant trees the better the climate will be and the whole country will start to look more green. Lets race ahead of saudi arabia and each start planting trees on family land whenever we go to somalia. If china and saudi can turn their deserts green then somalia can look like paradise on earth if we plant the right type of trees.

One thing is that the land back there in Somalia is fertile, but the people aren't willing or even interested in planting and cultivating lands.

Maybe an education of the importance of plants shall do the work and awareness in all regions with necessary equipments.

So, it starts with the government. If the government isn't pushing people towards greener sector, who will? Cause most of the people aren't interested in it while some are livestock keepers:gaasdrink:

Most are jobless khat eaters. if i had money i would open a tree planting company and get these lazy ppl working! i have a cousin who begs for money every week and yet i'm thinking why doesn't the nigga just do any job. If i was broke i would drive ppl around or tend someone's field. Somalis need to lose that pride quick cus we don't need more migrants doing the lower jobs for us. There's so many job opportunities it's just that most somalis are reluctant to work.

Sorry to hear that...
Some have some f#cked up superiority and will say, why will I work in a farm? They will tell you, ask the minority which are Somali bantus, thus they're khat munchers idling at home talking about nonsense politics

Somebody needs to take an action and educate them, if not them their children as they behold the governmment/country's future fate

Yes brother caring for our environment is key to our future success. We must think early to develop ways to combat drought and desertification. Once this old gen passes away they will leave us with a heavy burden so whenever i can i think ahead and plan for the future.

Remember! those same self haters that say that they will never go back to somalia will be the first to holiday there once we fix the country up.

:salute:
