"Tourism growing in Somalia despite bad press"

I used to be against tourism but if it’s going to be like Oman I’m all for it. Somalia needs good pr. Inshallah with better leadership, tourism that promotes our culture/country will be possible

Why be like "Oman" why not be distinct and have your own Distinguishable Attraction.

I meant be like Oman in respect to its more quiet and more low-key tourism. No nightlife, etc.

Knowing the history of Somalia I doubt visiting cadaans would act up, and were a muslim country sxp youre not gonna see naked cadaans on your beaches anytime soon

There used to be…. The locals were banned or felt so uncomfortable with the “naked” Italians on the beach that they could only be there on Fridays.

The war was terrible and Wahhabism is not good but it did correct some of the BS and sinning that was going on back then…. Ffs my dad used to tell me about how there were bars/clubs in borama that served alcohol and the locals were the main ones going!

Lowkey I think that’s part of the reason we ended up like this… I think Allah SWT teaches a lesson to the ppl of the land this way
