To the xalimos, how important is a man's income to you?

I think that it's dumb for women to marry men with a mediocre salary (think £20-25k pa in UK or $30-35k pa in the states)
When you're looking for a potential husband, how important is this for you? Sometimes I hear the BS that women are comfortable with pooling their incomes together to make it but that doesn't sound like an attractive male

Income is extremely important for family building, be very realistic and live below your means. Have an active plan in place, don't burden a woman with your poverty lifestyle my friend. I'd like to point out that there are supposed millionaires declaring bankruptcy, do you know why? Its because they had a very expensive lifestyle, they overestimated their fortitude and outgoings etc

Young women only realize once it’s crunch time and life comes at them fast. It’s easy to romanticize the idea of love being the be all and end all.

I’ve seen it first hand when it crashes down. It isn’t pretty. I’m not encouraging rampant materialism though or not marrying someone you love. But being more logical and understanding the importance of financial stability and how making sacrifices as a woman that later on emasculates a man is a fruitless endeavor.

Very important. Being with a broke guy is one thing, but being with a broke guy that also has no ambition to improve his life is a recipe for disaster.

Those salary stats are skewed with years of inflation. Average is more like 25k to 30k in UK (not including London which is always above average).

US is even higher. They have salaries that exceed all Europeans.
