Someone currently in Somalia told me that all the biometric data collected from Somalis (when applying for a Somali passport) is held by a third party located somewhere in Egypt (possibly yahuud owned). How valid is this information? I tried looking into it deeper, but couldn't find anything.

For the Somali national ID, will biometrics be collected also (finger prints, eye scans, etc.)? If so, will third parties have access to them?

Someone please let me know, cause I don't know if this is true or not.
