To anyone trying to gain muscle/lose fat, do you still eat Somali food?

Do you still eat baasto and bariis and everything else Somali? I know you can make these more healthy but typically these are high fat and calorie/carb dense and low protein (depending on how much meat you eat)

I'd much rather eat chicken vegetable soup, whole grain bread, eggs, some dairy, beans and fruit/veg

Yes but in moderation. For example, i only have a small bit of rice and 2 hilibs and I add 2 eggs on the side. Rice has to be white rice and i pair it with the maraq soup from the hilib and I put 1 lime in it

For baasto I usually dont eat it but I do have the suugo with a warmed panini and a lot of salad and lemon or I have it with 1 malawax I make myself sugarfree and oil free

For suqaar I eat that shit up with the modified malawax I made.

basically I still eat somali food just changed up tbh

Yes, but with a lot of the fat cut out like for bariis i just have it as pure white rice. I've cut out sugar from everything I take along with that
