Tigers don't hunt in prides, they get shit done solo like assassins and rule the jungles of India.

I use to think tigers, specifically the Siberian tiger would crunch the lion.

There are many tiger sub-species, the most impressive one is the Siberian tiger, that nigga lives in the tundra. These niggas hunt a whole variety of deers, moose (these guys are fucking huge (800lbs average weight), wild boars. Here's the crazy part, anywhere a tiger might be it automatically reduces the wolf population, cause they'll flee or they'll get crunch by the tiger

When it comes to lions vs siberian tiger in a fight, the lion would most likely come out victorious, not because it's stronger, but because of it's protective mane. A siberian tiger weights 475lbs on average, the lion 420lbs on average. They're both felines, apex predators, where do you think they usually strike? The head and the neck, the tiger has no protection against the lions weapons, he's completely exposed.

The lion has to compete with packs of hyenas (who have the most powerful bite in the world) and slaps them single handedly a la Mufasa, main reason it can do that it's cause of that protective mane. Same reason that when a lion gets kicked out of the pride it doesn't die during that fight is because of that mane, it's a thick protective layers.
