When I say that most modern dance is haram, I am referring to the fact that most dance today is sexualised.
As I told you earlier, doing this sort of thing at a public function is attention seeking and does not sit right with me. However, I do not have an issue with the dance in and of itself as females can do it behind closed doors or with their husbands.
