This should be Somalia's military strategy moving Forward to put Al Shabab to sleep For GOOD!

I came across this video on the NISA Twitter and I couldn’t be more proud, because this is exactly what I’ve been saying for the longest time it shouldn’t have taken this long. If I were Somalia, I would do whatever it takes to get my hands on more drones, preferably 50+, and use them to hit al-Shabab positions daily. At the same time, I’d shift focus to the Danab Commandos and make it my mission to pay them well, build a modern base with proper facilities where they can eat healthy, train consistently, strengthen their bodies, and have houses to bring and raise their families however necessary. Equip them with the best assault rifles, solid air support, and a fleet of helicopters, instead of those Toyota pickups that are always vulnerable to al-Shabab’s cheaply made minefields. I would also divide them into 4 battalions: one dedicated scout battalion for reconnaissance and surveillance, and three light infantry battalions that constantly rotate for quick in-and-out raids. With proper support, rotation, and consistent pressure watch al-Shabab disappear. Somalia need to stop giving those uncivilized and unsophisticated cunts any more time.

What you envision requires any army based on qabilism, but on merit. This cannot exist in Somalia, so your theories are impossible to implement. This is ignoring the fact that SNA soldiers often desert for multiple reasons: Poor training, incompetent commanders, lack of pay, food, and logistics. If the FGS cannot pay a few foot soldiers, it cannot build, maintain, and supply highly trained units to engage in brutal missions.

I understand your point, but I respectfully disagree. I served in the U.S. Army for 6 years, and from the very first day in basic training you’re thrown together with people from every background, ethnicity, and belief system even some of the most staunch racists. They train that tribal mindset out of you because at the end of the day, a soldier’s loyalty is to the mission and to the soldier next to him, not to a clan. They should have a whole complete different culture from others. Somalia needs that same approach. Let civilians deal with qabilism soldiers should be focused on being professionals, trained to fight and win as one force. It can be done, but it requires the right leadership, discipline, a bit of education and a system that enforces unity above all cause right now Somalia is cluster fucked with spineless government which makes qabilism thrive everywhere.
