you can't run a company with 7 CEO's with 7 different boards its just not possible. similarly you can't have 7 presidents with 7 different parliaments running one country.

even a prime minister is too much, most other countries that have a president and prime minister one is ceremonial and one is the actual power figure. its like the whole system was designed so Somalia will never be stable and there will always be in fighting.

the way i see things is either somalis accept one president or they go their separate ways.

Also, to establish such leadership you need chaos. Somalia now has the rich , especially in the capital, armed with militias. You disagree with their agenda, they’ll just kill you. Look at the high profile deaths - they haven’t happened for no reason. So, they would just kill the ruler.

The way most people see it , they now have control over ‘their’ regions hence development and progress is not at the mercy of others.

People forget the war was devastating lol and many people will never move to certain areas or care about what happens there. Somali’s will never trust one another again and I can only see unity as a wild dream.

These state leaders hold too much power currently because the fed cant be trusted have you kept up with politics these past few years? The fed should work on fighting AS and integrating state armies into the federal government and building there track record of being non-qabiiliste non-corruptible.

Once their is enough trust for that to happen the states will have lost all their leverage and be forced to be more co-operative. Instead the national army wasted 4 years standing in Gedo waiting for Madoobe to resign

The people dont have to be patriotic at the moment, since they have nothing to be patriotic for. Instead you have to give them a reason to be patriotic and prideful. I beleive that starts with the weeding out of AS and its sympathizers and the federal government using its limited authroity to be a guarantor of credits and loans from foreign countries as well as within.

This coupled with a variation of the saemaul undong should give people incentive to develope their own lands and start benefitting their own cities and towns instead of waiting for federally funded projects. And as they begin to see their QOL improve and see Somalias status rise it should make people quite patriotic and nationalistic.
