Not really just found this interesting, and wondered why a woman would go back to a degrading lifestyle she was saved from.
She’s a druggie with a history of abuse and r-word. She’s no different to men who grew up in the streets and saw the worst of what humanity as to offer but still go back….ultimately it’s all they know. She’s become the darkness and the debauchery is her comfort zone.
Asking women this is silly, because yes, we’re all female but we couldn’t possibly relate to a woman who was being pimped out at 13, was a prostitute, faced the r-word, drugs and alcohol addiction and has simply has/had the worst life imaginable. Also, her behavior isn’t that different to a male druggie. Many unfortunately, go back and spurn those that have put in time and effort to try and get them back on the straight and narrow.
Im only able to give you an answer because I’m going off on studies and basic psychology here. But Stockholm syndrome, becoming addicted to abuse and being fearful of life outside of one’s comfort zone regardless of how unhealthy it is, is a real phenomenon.
I’ve watched that video and it’s a perfect example of how the only person that you can truly help you, is yourself.

but what’s childish is the fact that he’s making this into a gender argument. It’s ridiculous, we all know that druggies have a hard time changing and have a habit of betraying those that try to give them the tools to turn their life around, unless they have the will-power to take advantage of the help that is being offered them.
Oh then I apologise to OP. But yes, the speaker clearly had feelings for her and can’t accept the fact she didn’t reciprocate or behave in the manner HE expected. Also, why record her like this for the world? Again, this is not someone kind hearted whether he is a pimp or not. Charge it to the game. This is just someone looking to profit off views which he has clearly. Growing up we had a term for this, “ fake care”.

The guy gets paid to help these kids. He receives support, probably from a non-profit group or he is running one. So it is not like it was his money that he was giving her.
I also have another problem with his approach: You can't get someone out of the gangs if they live in the same cities or nearby towns. You can't. Too many people in the Crips in Southern California that once they found out her whereabouts, they would take her down.
If you want to help someone to get out of the gangs and they are in the West Coast, move them to the East Coast, the South or at least in the Mid West. They need to get out of that environment and end all contacts with those gang members.
They also need drug and alcohol treatments. The support one gives to these people must be genuine and wholeheartedly, and it should follow the past precedents and what worked for people in these situations in the past.
