I don't really understand Somali dudes who complain about mehr. If the girl asks you for high mehr she is most likely not into you. If a Somali girl is into you and really wants to marry you, she is not going to ask for high mehr. She is going to make it really easy and have very few demands.

It's a natural progression of things, more men helping out in the house will increase father involvement and this is something Somalis desperately need.
