I assume many of you have seen the Sufi cow video. Please note that this is a Qadariyyah action and not a Salihiyyah act- they are different groups (known as Tarqias)

So please don’t lump as all together.

What happened? Like what cow video? and you are right. Sufism, like most things, is a spectrum. For example most of my family (at least the older gen) were sufi yet didn't even do much loud dhikr. People that were already against sufism, cough cough salafis, are probably gonna use that video (no clue what it is but i can imagine lol) as a gotcha moment and point all of sufism with one brush.

Its a sufi ritual where they throw a cow into the sea and then slaughter it. This is supposed to prevent misfortune

Because they are ascribing a quality of Allah to a being that’s not Allah. If you want to make dua then do it with Allah- he has no partner.

Asking for luck before slaughtering a animal is actually pretty common in pagan religions (most visible in South Sudan today)
