The education these days is total crap now. Anybody noticed this? I was just thinking rn we’re prob the last generation that’s gonna use primarily text based forums like this one. Why? Because the kids these days can’t read for shit. 0 attention span, tiktok all day long. It’s a nightmare
I have a lil cousin who loves getting quizzed but he didn’t even know basic stuff like what province (Canadian version of a state) he lives in like wtf
or the capital city etc he’s 10 by the way. What the goddamn hell they teaching kids these days??? The sad thing is I know him well he’s so smart, sweetest kid on the planet and he has genuine drive to learn but unless there’s external intervention the school system will 100% fail him. I’m trying my best literally cuz I see his potential
My other lil cousin was scrolling tiktok and as soon as he flipped the video I grabbed his phone and asked him what was the last video he watched. He straight up DIDNT REMEMBER and was fumbling around panicking and making up answers..

Try this experiment next time you see a kid on tiktok grab their phone after they finish a video and ask them “what was the last video you just watched?” I guarantee you they’re not gon remember

) obv the Chinese tiktok had NONE of that shit whatsoever. It was very wholesome for the most part and family friendly even as I tried to dig past the “mainstream” side prob bc there was a bunch of strict rules and shit (obv seeing that its based in mainland China) for example you can’t even livestream if you’re not a citizen/located outside of China it’s crazy. U could tell for the most part kids weren’t on it btw 
They’re confident asf cuz non Chinese barely touch the app since it’s only on the Chinese AppStore. But it’s not even hard to get, you just gotta switch ur Apple ID to Chinese(and u can switch back once it’s downloaded)
