The Xabesha's new dam

As Donald Trump also said, I have no idea why Egypt still didnt blow up this dam, only possible reason i can think about is they're waiting till it gets filled up so they can get maximum damage from floodings ? I really have no idea, this seems really illogical
Egypt has had no agency for a decade, probably longer. They exert little to no power. they are allowing a UAE to mess in sudan +chad. There getting out of their asses now but short-off destabilising ethiopia they have no opportunity.

Their non-negotiable treaty they want is not something ethiopia would sign.

Maybe their armed forces overall arent that good but they have a fine air force, they could very easily go bomb the shit out of that dam and come back

Yeah Egypt would have air superiority and be able to completely destroy that in minutes. I’m sure that they’d prefer regime change instead of keep bombing ethiopia.

im listening to eritreans that there is a theory of eritrea going to assist sudan army against rsf for a later conflict later, sudans anti drone tech where tigray fighting is happening + egypt airspace control. might be propaganda though

Bombing the dam at this stage is non-option, it would release all the held back water at once, causing a cataclysmic flood all throughout Sudan and Egypt. It’s like firing a bullet knowing it will ricochet back at your own head. Would you pull the trigger?

Egypt had no problems with the dam in of itself. Their issue was how quickly it would be filled up. They wanted it to be filled slowly which Ethiopia refused to do hence the tension.

It was a nothingburger in the end anyways since Egypt had a flood season and the dam didn't end up impacting their water supply.

They could have destroyed it before it got to that point which is what is surprising.
