Rey Rey's thread made me remember how I use to dress with the hijab.


Back in highschool I use to wear the hijab with shorts up to my knees or a Mini skirt and a shirt showing my arms..

I use to think my parents were super religious how did they allow me to get away wearing this?

I use to wear super long skirts too that sweeped the floor

Maybe cause of the societal norms so subconsciously you wanted to not look different cause as humans we don’t wanna be seen as an outcast psychologically speaking. We live and we learn so don’t be too harsh on your self

I'm glad you've realized the way you were dressing was wrong and changed. Do you feel comfortable in abayas and dresses?

I hate wearing dresses, abayas and skirts. But since Islam requires modestly, I'm kinda forced to. I'd rather wear loose pants and dress causally kinda like down below. But sadly, I ain't a petite little Asian The upper half will be fine but my lower half...all modesty goes out the window.

Main take away is to dress modest and not promiscuously plus intention counts a lot. I wouldn’t know what to say for loose pants don’t really see an issue but who am I
