What exactly is wrong with the statement that activist made?
'Don't be like somalia and destroy our country' is a pretty sound reminder to multi-tribal/ethnic countries on the brink of conflict. (has it worked for sudan so far? not quite)
Also, I don't see how she is 'throwing it in somalis face', it wasn't even directed at somalis, she was speaking to a sudanese audience. The state failure and the senseless violence that went down is something not only somalis should reflect on, but other countries/peoples too.... alongside events like the Libyan crisis/civil war, Rwanda 94 etc. Its not personal

You’re weird. I have many Sudanese friends, and most Sudanese people I meet are cool. My cousins studied medicine, dentistry, laboratory ,Arabic and Islamic studies in Sudanese universities. They all felt like locals and were living life like normal.

I don’t follow twitter, but why the hate? Because she mentioned Somalia? It’s true, why hate the truth? We rebelled against the government 35 years ago and still are in political turmoil. A cautionary tale for any country….

Love my Sudanese brothers. Somalis since the civil war have gone there without needing visas or permits. Thousands of people have completed university studies and masters there.

They have been one of the most welcoming Muslim countries to Somalis. May Allah give them peace and prosperity.
