I don't know if Iran specifically was involved and I don't think it was but it was that same bloc.

And if you say anything critical of the Shia, there are a large number of people who automatically say "YOU ARE A WAHHABI SAUDI SHILL" and such things.

I think this should clarify things if anyone genuinely does not understand what I was saying in the OP (and not feigning confusion for rhetorical purposes).
