I don't want to see Somalis religious state to be centralised like certain Catholic countries, where the pope remains supreme. but some centralisation would help is in combating terrorism by not giving radicals congregations to preach in. Another sad thing is most mosques back home absolutely don't de shut for the locals. Look at history and see what the churches In England and Scotland did for the communities by building grammar schools next parishes to help the locals to learn how to read. They had synods to settle theological disputes instead of slaughtering each other. What we need to do is for each local masjid to be held accountable to a local body. And a representative of the local body should be picked to represent them on a regional level and the lastly a regional representative should should be picked for the general assembly.
