Nothing to do with Rooble or Farmaajo. These Arabs have been delivering biscuits and Timir way before this admin. Shows nothing has changed.Puntexit guy, you are actually making sense for once, war waxaan hore loo arkin for 5 years buu sameenaya Rooble.
Your PM has shocked Somalis who are majority anti UAE. You indirectly helped Farmaajo
'Og: raisul wazaaraha'
Roble publicly said the money is there and available for uae so villa marqaan put out this letter. These letters do more damage than anything. keep going shaarboweyne lol
Al Hammadi told VOA Somali the money was not intended for the UAE embassy. “The money is for the ministry of defense. It’s for the salary of the Somali soldiers,” he told VOA.
Another security official said Ambassador Mohammed Ahmed Othman Al Hammadi, UAE envoy to Mogadishu, was at the airport to receive the money.
The official said Al Hammadi’s entourage tried to take the money out of the airport but were instructed by security forces to have the bags scanned.
“The ambassador refused, walked back to the plane with three bags, and counterterrorism units confiscated the three bags,” said the officer who requested anonymity.
I’m more shocked the money is still there.Shameful behaviour if true. That money was rightfully confiscated by the authorities. No state would allow a foreign country to wilfully ignore its laws and operate in the manner the UAE did.
I find perplexing why the Emiratis would want the money back after all this time. In the original VOA article they did say the money was meant for the FGS:
Was that not true then? Is this a tacit admission that money was for nefarious purposes? I guess we know why they wanted to avoid having their bags scanned.
He's checking the expiration date. A lot of products that come to Somalia are expired.Look at these N&N cultist did they forget just last year their aabo farmajo accepted donation #
Which amounted to 10 cartons lf linguini pasta from QATAR ?
View attachment 211328
Using their logic Farmajo sold Somalia last year for linguini pasta
Yall can say whatever about UAE but they have been the better allies out of the two arabs .when we had better ties with UAE and saudi they bought our citrus ,sesame , livestock ,fruits grains ect
Qatar gets 90% of its fruits from Indonesia/malaysia ,livestock from australia &Pakistan,
The only good thing we got fromnqatar is terrorism and access for our citrus , sesame to Turkish market . Our export revenue still exceeds turks and Qatar vs UAE alone
I’m more shocked the money is still there.
I cannot believe Somalian hands unironically typed this post.
Being trading partners is not a license for other states to flagrantly smuggle millions of dollars of bribe money into your country.
The UAE exports over $1 billion into Somalia each year. They're not our trading partners out of charity but self-interest.
I mean a number of countries do operate in Somalia. Don't sell us the Imaratis are bad and Qataris are good kkkk. It won't work just like Kenya is enemy and ethiopia is walaal bullshit didn't work.Shameful behaviour if true. That money was rightfully confiscated by the authorities. No state would allow a foreign country to wilfully ignore its laws and operate in the manner the UAE did.
I find it strange that the Emiratis would want the money back after all this time. In the original VOA article they said the money was meant for the FGS:
Was that not true then? Is this a tacit admission the $9.6 million was going to be used for nefarious purposes? I guess we now know why they wanted to avoid having their bags searched.
That’s what happens when you have a government focused on stopping corruption. If it were Hasan Sheikh or Sheikh Sharif in Farmaajo's position, that money would be gone by now.
Could be. Or maybe it is gone, and this whole thing was to embarrass farmajo. That’s what happens when you have a government focused on stopping corruption. If it were Hassan Sheikh Mohamud or Sheikh Sharif in Farmaajo's position, that money would be gone by now.
