We had treaties forbidding British births on Somali soil and comingling between Somali women and English people, in the North. Only place on the continent that did that. And for clarification it was a protectorate.

Also, very few Somalis in the South had relations with Italians. Most people used to call them wacal which indicates their wholesale disapproval not acceptance. I doubt your average geeljire in the south even saw an Italian. Quit assuming something unique to a small (countable) segment of Mogadishu is universal across the whole country.
