What's makhidi nisbah?
Probably Habr Makhidi/Maqdi
I don't think so, Ahmad Girri Al Somal and Ahmad Gurey were two different people.

Husain Musa Bin 'Abd Allah Makida ( his full abtirsi is as follows: Musa, Abdullah, Makahil, Makador, Mahamud(Samaroon), Saeid, Da'ud, Gadhhasid, Hasan, Ali(Gadabuursi), Madaluug, Dir, Aji, Irir, Samale, Hill, Abrone.)

Al-Makhidi (المخيدي)

"Their chieftains, however, stood firm: Mattan bin ‘Utman the Somali, brother-
in-law of the imam Ahmad, may the Most High God have mcrcy upon him, fought a fine jihad. Holding firm with him was Ahmad Girri; and 'All Garad, Mattan’s
brother; and Farasaham Taf brother of Bcsara; and ‘All Mad Jira from the tribe of
Mattan; and Husain Musa Bin 'Abd Allah Makida: and Yusscf Latahia, from the
tribe of Ahmad Girri. Their achievements this day truly arc God's doing."

Husain Musa Bin 'Abd Allah Makida is Samaroon, see the abtirsi below.

As I read the Futuh al-Habasha and came across a few interesting tidbits and some contradictions, and as I digged it was obvious going by the information it supplied.

Husain Musa Bin 'Abd Allah Makida, that name rang a bell and found ( his full abtirsi is as follows: Musa(his father), Abdullah, Makahil, Makador, Mahamud(Samaroon), Saeid, Da'ud, Gadhhasid, Hasan, Ali(Gadabuursi))

I.M. Lewis(prominent British social anthropologist known for his extensive work on Somali culture and society.)

"Among the Somali tribes there was another called Habr Maqdi,")h from wrhich
the imam had demanded the alms tax. They refused to pay it, resorting to banditry
on the roads, and acting evilly towards the country. The
imam set out for a locality known as Ra^bud,”' between the country of the
Muslims and the country of the infidels, as if he intended going on to Abyssinia.
But then he doubled back towards the country of the Somali evildoers. The
Somalis were routed, and the imam Ahmad followed them almost to the sea, a
day’s march. He plundered their territory thoroughly and devastated it. Then he
turned round and went back."

(chased almost to the sea to an area that very much sounds like the northwest/Awdal going off the description)

Warring tribes tend to intermarry quite a bit. You'll find the leader of Habr Maqdi is called Ahmed Girri Bin Hussein Al Somali.

"Those Somalis who had entered the service of the imam Ahmad and the
previously mentioned Sultan Ura‘i Abun, were with the imam as w'e mentioned
before, and the tribe of Habr Maqdi, which the imam pul to flight, had plundered
their territory.
The tribe of Girri complained to the imam, saying to him, ‘They would never
have ravaged our country if we had not entered your service, and made peace with
you’. This distressed the imam Ahmad who organised his forces and went to the
country of the Somalis, to the Habr Maqdi who were engaging in brigandage and
plundering the possessions of the Muslims, time after time."

The description they give Qasa sounds like Harrawa Valley.

"[The Somali tribes reach Harar]
The first of the tribes to reach the imam was Habr Maqdi with their lord and
chieftain Ahmad Girri bin Husain, the Somali. They encampcd in a placc called
Qasa in the heights above the valley of Harar. They showed off their equipment
and their weapons, and paraded their horses. They were anights, and what knights!
And they were foot-soldiers; and what foot- soldiers! The imam rejoiced at their

arrival exceedingly. They met the imam :ace to face, and he welcomed them with
the warmest of welcomes. He gave them gifts of apparel, and provisions, and
treated them graciously, garbing Their chieftain, Ahmad Girri, in particularly
exquisite clothing."

The only other piece of information supporting Habr Maqi as Bartire, I would be interested to find any Jidwaaq y dna.

"Then he split his force into three divisions. The first consisted of the people of
Sim, the tribe of Marraihan and Bar Tarri which are the Habr Maqdi, and the
people of Jawatir: they were under the command of the wazir ‘Addoli."

All I did was asking a simple a question how am I a qabiileyste?
There is overwhelming evidence that proofs that Ajan is the ancient latinised version of Hawiye. Anyone that’s against overwhelming evidence is a hardcore qabiiliisto in my book. Kulaha Ajan is bar al Ajam :mjlol:

machidas/makhid = the sultanate of Maakhir

they would’ve ruled parts of the north and there is evidence for an ancient Warsangali presence west of sanaag, during this time a lot of Ethiopian incursions and Galla raids took place. This polity at its zenith would’ve been bordered by the Sultanate of the Majeerteen to its east and the Marexan, Geri koombe, Gadsan to its south in the Hawd.

Here's is the Map with much better resolution to keep for the archives.

Brother there is no evidence its the Garre and Wakatwa means al Somali.

They were the upper Shabelle Hawiye’s. Ahmed Gurey, Upper Shabelle, Bale Hawiye’s and Mogadishu were always connected through the river (Nile of Mogadishu) In fact the Awsa dynasty Gasa were from Bale. Furthermore Sheikh Hussein of Bale was from Merca. Ajuuraan, Karanle and other Hawiye live there till this day.

It would be amazing to eventually find a chronicle that did talk about mogadishu and rhe dynasties around it. Or maybe even that talked about what was going on. around/sanaag/nugaal/mudug

Huh? It's established on the map Mercates is below the Juba, yes or no? So Which group has had a long standing presence in that region before the oromo invaded? Wa-Katwa is indeed in reference to Somalis but which Somali was numerous in that area? The screenshot that i shared originally, the sentence after the highlighted portion claims,

"Yet, although it is a term that cannot be given any precision, there is only one group of Somali who claim to have had a long association with the Bajun, with the Tana region and with the Juba, and this is the Garre."

It's pretty self explanatory.
