The Truth about the battle of Wayna Daga and Wofla

Because Arabs are not Portuguese nor Amharic speakers maybe? the Arabs transliterate all the time, they even transliterate words they first translated to the Latin authors. Ibn Said says he met the Hawiye هاوية of East Africa. The Europeans a few centuries later call it the Ajan coast, shortly after new Arab writers then rewrite the same location their predeccesors visited as اجان. It seems Machidas is another one of Arabs translating Habasha terminology.
Ajan is a portuguese mispronounciation of bar al ajam, what I'm saying is Arabs knew about Mogadishu sultanate why didn't the chronicle say المقادشة or sm thing similar?

Ajan is a portuguese mispronounciation of bar al ajam,
Nah that’s false and I debunked it with hardcore proof. Ajan is Hawiye. Go through these threads so you get a deeper understanding of things.

It was never bar al ajam, not a single map calls it ajam but they all call it ajan or bar al ajan (land of hawiye) or sahil al ajan (coast of hawiye). Ajam means non arabic speaker and is a linguistic term not a geographical or tribal term like ajan/hawiye. If it was a geographical or tribal term then 95% of the world would be called bar al ajam since most ppl arent arabic speakers

Thanks bro.

How can ajan=hawiye tho? Also numerous yemeni manuscripts call somalia bar al ajam

U can ask me to show some without insulting me my brudda
Then show it then? 😂

Here I start. It says here "Ajan ou Haouya" (this means "Ajan or Hawiye") in french. It doesn't get more obvious than this.

This old map shows Merehan, Maehidas and Howea. As well as Magadoxo.

They disappear from later maps however.
Here is another map showing these guys.

All of them are Portuguese In origin is suspect. These also correspond to the territory the Emir Hirabu ruled over.

The claim that auca gurela is a misspelling of aussa is a big claim. They are two separate words denoting a city. Even if you accept Auca as a misspelling of Aussa wtf is gurela? Also that map is all over the place fatagar being north of kingdom of mogadisu? Adel being so deep into present day Ogaden and nugaal territory? That was the land on the outlying parts of the Adal Sultanate ruled by Emir Hirabu.

This literally the only source available to you. 10 sources vs 1 lmao. Mine are more ancient while you just got one 19th century colonial guy commenting his own opinion on old maps when he dont even speak arabic. Cajam is not the same as Ajan and Cajam cannot designate 1 region when most of the world is "Cajam" in that respect.

Like this one written by abdul qadir al jaziri, I'm actually shocked that someone like u doesn't know abt this basic thing
This Arabic text of yours refers to the early coffee trade. It mentions him leaving Aden and going to a foreign land. It has nothing to do with the Ajan coast which is centred on the Indian Ocean coast and had nothing to do with Coffee
