1600s Somalia saw the most significant political upheaval. You have the oromo invasions in the first half of the century and then you have the Great Rebellion in the second half the century against the Ajuuran sultanate.
The destruction from the Rebellion is something unrivalled in Somali history with the Civil war being coming in second place
