The strange letter dh and Dhabar weird word

So i was reading quraan as one does and i see the aayah
سَيُهْزَمُ الْجَمْعُ وَيُوَلُّونَ الدُّبُرَ
The congregation will be defeated and the backs will turn
Waxaan leeyahay dubur ah? waa afsoomaali dee dabar mahano So i checked the arabic singular is دَبْر dabr and im saying let me check the somali quickly and i see it spelled dhabar with a dh

This confused me because i dont think any other loanword from arabic gains a dh sound Because arabic itself lacks the sound. So i went to etymology database look it up and it even mentions it is strange
It also showed me word dabo which is interesting two similar sounding words having very similar meanings. I add dambe and dhamaad/dhamey may also be related

What i want to know is the role of dh in the greater afroasiatic space how did it develop and from where. Is there any loanwords other than hindi that use it. How do other related languages tackle the dh issue
