We have 6-7k elite troops. AMISOM will be gone in 3-5 years max. By 2027 we will have 15K gorgor which will be the backbone of the military.

Eritrean troops should return this year, this will lead to a faster push against Alshabab.

Why rush?

AMISOM is leaving gradually , for instance KDF AMISOM budget was reduced by 66% to account for the amount of troops still in the country.

All security offensives in Somalia are carried out and led by SNA, AMISOM is mainly protecting towns until SNA/police force can replace them. We don't want a rapid vaccum , we will replace them gradually while pushing against Al-shabab.

Just give it some time.

Most countries in Africa don't have access to such equipment, Somalia needs to begin by enhancing current military with non heavy weaponry. Afterwards we will expand it when all militias are replaced in SNA. We can expect a basic navy and a basic airforce by 2030.

We also need to expand our arsenal of military vehicles like APCs. This will be all done in due time, we are building from zero.
