The Somali English voice/undertone

Can anyone else just tell if a person is Somali just by their voice? It's not even an accent, it's like a slight undertone that just lets me know.

Like when I saw this video, I KNEW the girl was Somali before I saw her face :damn::damn::damn:

I have the voice thingy too because I asked my friends and they said they can tell I don't have a pure English accent and that there's something different about my voice in the slightest of undertones
Yes, I actually can tell if some one is weather Horner African or not due to there voice. I thinks its due to the nose structure and how our voice radiate through it. This vocal vibration is what make the Horner voice sound different to other ethnic groups.

Really? I can only tell with somalis and that's usually to do with them speaking somali at home so they have this distinct type of accent. Me and my other second gen cousins don't have this bc we spoke English at home so I don't thin its to do with noses

BTW- I was watching a random clip of a Somali British ā€œsalafiā€ guy talking to another person. It dawned on me that these guys kind of have their own speech pattern. I can’t put my finger on it though. I am sure people will know what I mean.

Salafis have a psuedo south london accent (the ends accent) with 50 million akhis and ukhtis mixed in

They always pronounce the word ā€˜kha’ as well and roll their ā€˜r’

They also use words in a sort of archaic manner which probably comes from listening to lots of translated Arabic sermons or religious texts. So you will find a guy with a MLE ā€œurbanā€ accent using words like ā€œuponā€ and ā€œaffairsā€ at the same time.

This would actually make for an interesting study.

Waa aniga 100% minus the akhis and ukhtis. Because when i speak i dont like mixing words from another language unless i don't know the english for some reason. It feels forced i will stick with brev
