The Somali English voice/undertone

I think its like a slight lisp kind of thing but for my voice it is not very noticeable i just sound like trapper schoolkid, also it seems like it's more noticeable for american somalis than for british for some reason
Weird because when i speak somali i can still use somali accent but it dissapears when i speak english. Or maybe im just tone deaf
Linguists were able to tell jihadi John was born to non British parents just by listening to his audio. Unless you have been raised with a white family or been completely surrounded by whites, it is hard not to have some MLE (multicultural London English) or influence from your native tongue in your pronunciation:

Video of a Farax with scouse accent I came across. His story telling style is Somali though🤣Somalis have good memory 🤣

If you ignore the caribbean/west african influence, she has the Somali voice too. Such an interesting phenomenon
Yes, she must be from south or something. Must have a grown around a lot of madows.?more and more girls sounds around like her these days.

I like xalimos who have this accent:

Ya Salam.

what I can’t stand is females who don’t know how to code switch and sound like dudes all the time saying bro and fam.

West londoners are stereotyped to sound 'posh' but thats just depends on the area you're from
It's like a mixture between 'RP/standard' english and 'MLE' english, which varies on the scale depending on the person

Sounds like west London accent

She is still kind of talking fast I feel, more so than a white English speaker. Still has a slight Somalish lisp and Ts seem harder than cadaans. Nonetheless, nice formal and neutral accent. One would rather go to home than “fam, work was long ahlie👀
Yeah it’s less multi-cultural there’s some west Londoners who speak that way. It just depends on who you hang around. If your around Irish travellers in london you’ll speak like them too,

United we stand, divided we fall 🇸🇴
I can tell british accents apart by ethnicity, Bengali, Somali, Pakistani and african. It’s too easy. Before I even saw the tags, I knew this woman was Bengali. Some Somali guys need to learn how to code switch though they maintain that roadman accent everywhere.

I think lots of reading and watching the news, going to uni debates and working in a professional setting can make you sound more neutral (closer to middle class)..at least in professional settings. I was in a meeting the other day and a young madow guy was explaining something and he said “reh te te”. Mind you, there was hundreds of people online for this 🤣

Yeah it's the tone I think maybe it has something to do with speaking somali at home because I don't have it as far as I can tell and we only spoke English at home.
