The Somali English voice/undertone

Can anyone else just tell if a person is Somali just by their voice? It's not even an accent, it's like a slight undertone that just lets me know.

Like when I saw this video, I KNEW the girl was Somali before I saw her face :damn::damn::damn:

I have the voice thingy too because I asked my friends and they said they can tell I don't have a pure English accent and that there's something different about my voice in the slightest of undertones

She is not even Somali but Kenyan Luo and half English

I don’t know if it was the voice, the accent or the auto tune but when my friend introduced me to geeyou i could tell he was Somali without knowing how he looked

Even ai can detect the Somali in your voice they said I had like 5-7% out of like 95% being British accent. It’s really cool.

I think its like a slight lisp kind of thing but for my voice it is not very noticeable i just sound like trapper schoolkid, also it seems like it's more noticeable for american somalis than for british for some reason
Weird because when i speak somali i can still use somali accent but it dissapears when i speak english. Or maybe im just tone deaf

Yes, that raspy, fast paced English cadence .

UK Asians also have an accent, British Caribbeans and Nigerian British, too. I can even tell young polish apart from white English when they start talking in English.

The way this girl speaks is what some Somalis in London sound like to me nowadays, esp females:

I think it is some kind of slight British west African influence.
If you ignore the caribbean/west african influence, she has the Somali voice too. Such an interesting phenomenon
