Sheikh Abdurrahman Bin Hassan Al-Shaykh (d 1869) the grandson of Imam Mohammed ibn Abdul Wahhab who authored Fath Al Majeed, the most famous Sharh(explanation) of Kitab Al Tawheed, mentions how there were people in Afghanistan and Somalia familiar with the Dawah.

Your correct here's the translation The fatwa from the grandson of Sheikh Muhammed ibn abdul wahhab who lived between 1779- 1869 mentions a group in Somalia who followed Tawheed
Also the Bardheere jamaa could also be refereed to as salafi they were were opposed to the magical powers the geledi ruler claimed to possess and other mystical practises in the region.

Yes but i think they were influenced by salafiah. Their dress code was niqab and they were against many bid'as. The sayyid himself was to a certain degree if i remember correctly also influenced by salafiah.

Bro, the niqab is a core Islamic principle and Wajib in the Hanafi & Shafi'i madhabs. it's not a Wahabbi introduction as some will have you believe.

This is how Balkan Muslim women dressed more than 100 years ago.

Bardheeraans were a Sufi reformist group who fought against the many anti-Islamic pagan Somali practices of that time.

I thought this was common sense. We’ve been doing trade with the peninsula of course someone will bring the ibn Abdul wahab’s teachings back.

Yes niqab was always around, it goes back to the a-sadar al-awal of islam. Though this coupled with how he fought bid'as is very similar to salafiah hence why they were inspired by salafiah. The sayyid himself was also inspired by salafiah if remember correctly. He changed his opinion on tawasul and only excluded it to the prophets صلى الله عليه وسلم.

majority of the somali sufis are Qadariyya they call other sufis like salaihiyya who disagree with their bidaa Wahabis like sheikh uways to Sayyid hassan and the geledi to bardheere jamaca
