Somali women can't work as housekeepers in the UAE where I was born and raised. It's illegal. Arab League membership being the reason. However, they do work as housekeepers for Somali families who pretend they are relatives staying with them. But they don't work for ajanabis in this capacity at all.

If it happens it's extremely rare. I was born and raised here and still live here at the age of 27. You pretty much never hear about Somali maids. Like ever. It's not in any real stats anywhere either. If you ever hear about them it's with Somali families who pretend the girl is a relative.
