A-lot of you guys don't see why the south has failed. It has nothing to do with tribal demographics being diverse or any of that. These southies fail to have institutions, courts, law n order, and respecting the rule of law even if it's against your interest. These are fundamentals that are missing and why they consistently rely on 'messiah' leader to come, they think some dude on 4 year presidency can change their lives, they have no concept of rule of law, institutions, courts, and constitutional agreements between clans is how you build a state from the ground up. You don't sit there being 'madax ka nool' but become shacab dhisan oo sharci ku nool.

I remember not to long ago my sub clan(bah dubays) had a hug disagreement with the garowe local government who was acquiring our clan farm-lands. Did we respond by getting our 'clans and boys' to attack the government? of course not, why? because 'sharci ku nool' baan nahay, we took our case before the courts, imagine if these facilities didn't exist in PL? we would be no different to the southies who are 'madax ku nool' who rely on warlords or politicians to be their 'constitution, rule of law, leadership, and institutions' all in one person with a 4 year mandate? how is this possible?

My sincere suggestions to the south is, get your clans-men together, sit down, discuss what your goals are, discuss what type of govt u want, write a constitutional document that details the rule of law, the govt powers, the citizen rights. Create constitutional courts, criminal, civilian, and parliament to work as institutions protecting your shared constitution among yourself. Any disagreements, always refer back to the constitution and your rights and the processes to follow rather then running outside to get your moryans to attack the government. There is no 'shacbi nool' in the south, kuligood waa moryaan, they don't trust nor want any sort of governance, they prefer living like moryans.

@Helios it's easier having legal experts from PL and the South sit down and harmonize 'rule of law, institutional delegations, power sharing, resource sharing, citizen rights, etc' when those people are living under such systems to begin with, but unfortunately PL has to work with some moryan from the south every 4 years who flip flops constantly and holds the nation hostage to his views not based on the rule of law or any constitution but due to their own clan and personal agenda.

That's why PL wasted so many years in the south, we are dealing with a south that has rotating leaders and we are constantly praying their is some 'messiah' that will come, when we should be telling them we will not discuss anymore between PL and SFG, untill you have the rule of law achieved and it's institutions in place and accreditated by the world community.

It will change when they fully embrace federalism. Right now as you said, majority are waiting for a Villa somalia benevolent figure to take care of everything. Most of Somali problems are local issues.

Infrastructure, u haven't seen how smooth PL roads are. I remember Mogadishu roads, even the pavement doesn't exist in 95% of the city, it's just huge bacads everywhere.

Schools? lol u gotta be kidding where certification is sold on the market? Universities lol, I won't even respond to that, show me one university that supplies the needed skills in mogadishu, they all have foreign degrees cause university is non-existent.

The south rich? maybe u haven't walked down the street and checked the local's wallet, what rich u r talking about? Decale hotel is owned by a Turk and the profits go turkey, u r being pimped in your own gaajo ass town and u still smile and think your rich. The small international/diaspora market is snatched away by a turk who brings in turkish managers and ensures your a cleaner or security guard paid 2 dollars a day. Not to mention all his mogadishu profits get re-invested into property market of turkey, u r a low level scum at all time.

If the south is so rich, why are southies in PL saying Puntland is wear they make their butter and bread and feed their southern relatives, but no puntite goes to the south for work.

@Warwaaqsame if mogadishu was so rich, why wouldn't u be a 'federalist'? why would u want all the regions in mogadishu eating from your wealth, u would think, u would be the first federalist, preserving your wealth to yourself, but no, we don't see that. U want the Somalis to return to Mogadishu because u ain't shit on your own, your whole institutions are manned by other Somali clans who do the thinking for u!!!!
