This is a huge problem within the Somali community in America. For such a small group sure do know how to make noise. We are reaching pajeet level of frauding right now and it’s embarrassing. I wonder how many other types of frauds Somalis are participating right now who haven’t been caught so far.
Somalis are a small community who are highly engaged and influential , it’s no different from other immigrant groups that carve out their space in America.
Government-contracted fraud isn’t some “Somali thing.” It’s a systemic American problem that cuts across every demographic from doctors and lawyers to massive corporations stealing billions in Medicare/Medicaid scams. Somalis just get singled out because we’re visible, tight-knit, and the media knows it makes headlines.
“Pajeet-level frauding” kulaha , if fraud was really a Somali trait, Somalia itself would carry the same fraud reputation as Nigeria or India. But it’s the opposite. You don’t see Somalis out here scamming everyday people or pulling credit card fraud rings , the few cases are mostly tied to government billing, like thousands of other groups in the U.S.
And honestly, you should be way more interested in the scale of
white-collar fraud by white Americans , not only average citizens, but professionals, CEOs, and even celebrities and NFL stars.
Three former National Football League (NFL) players have pleaded guilty for their roles in a nationwide scheme to defraud a health care benefit program for retired NFL players. A total of 15 defendants have pleaded guilty in connection with this scheme.

Some of these guys blew the money on
mansions, stadium projects, and luxury lifestyles. But you’ll never hear people generalize their entire community over it.
