What?
The British made the world wide web
Simply not true.. The Internet was initially developed by American universities (Stanford-UCLA satellite communication, MIT), the U.S. military (ARPANET, the originator of a ton of Internet protocols we use today), and the Internet Engineering Task Force (an American organization spawned by ARPANET). The Internet is by far an American invention and the entirety of the Internet depends on American organizations like ICANN (responsible for all IPs assigned, all domains purchased). You have screws loose if you think that Britain has had even 1/8th the impact on the Internet that the U.S. has had.

people saying the UK are capping hard lol.
Somalis from Scandinavia come to the UK for better paying jobs. You guys have more than 50% tax rate and are paid lower salaries than the UK.
USA is definitely better than Europe as a whole but there is no country beating the UK's capitalism. Companies usually have their EU headquarters in UK. London is also the financial capital of Europe, the LSE even surpassed the NYSE a couple of times even tho it is 10 times smaller.
Keep crying about the UK, you are objectively worse in financial terms.
I work in tech and the only country that can match the UK in terms of pure compensation is Germany

Learn the difference between the internet and the world wibe web. WWW was made by a British computer scientist named Tim Berners-Lee.

I don’t know about other Scandinavian countries but the few Swedish Somalis that go to UK mostly go there because it’s easier to find a job and not because it pays higher. It might be some that go there for higher salary but majority that go there for job related things only go there because it’s easier to find a job in the UK. It could be that it’s easier in Sweden to find a job more than the UK but the people that move might have had it hard to find a job and want to try another country which maybe has a rumour of easily finding a job.

The idea was created by him while working for a Swiss-based organization (CERN) and he was inspired by Ted Nelson's already existing hypertext model.. I think those two factors alone make it more of a Swiss invention, as it was mostly CERN that developed the concept beyond what he initially proposed. The "British" didn't do much for it at all, and it wasn't a British development was what I was trying to say, as there were no British societies, companies, or organizations involved in the development of the protocols and concepts. Furthermore, the first public web browser (Mosiac) was developed by an American company, Javascript was developed by an American company, all widely used DNS servers are managed and owned by American companies, all widely used browsers are either based on code written by Americans or are created and owned by American themselves, a majority of early Web platforms and services were run by Americans, the Web still depends on those Internet organizations mentioned in my last post, and and the Browser Wars were started and settled by American companies.. All of which make the modern World Wide Web more of an American invention than a British one.

UK gets slandered too much on sspot.

Reer europe wouldn't be tahriibing to the UK if it was the worst. At least 50% of somalis in the UK are from europe.

Honestly, the only other western country I would consider living in is the US...but even the US has its pros + cons. Australia is good, but cut off from the rest of the world.
