Not everyone can afford to live in a capital, just move to a more affordable town such as: Gaalkacyo, Carmo, Galdogob, Cagaaran, Qardho, Xarfo, Eyl, Badhan, Dhahar, etc. The locals would be welcoming.

Burco is the cheapest of all, a 6 bedroom house with 24/7 running water is $200 if not less.

I agree Burco is very affordable, green, and nice.

And do bear in mind, in every city, even Xamar, there are affordable neighbourhoods, but the average foreign traveller, as most of us are, are not going to those areas.

We are spoilt to the core. Highly undesirable.
